The Story
We purchased this 2007 shuttle bus in the fall of 2020 and began converting it into an off-grid camper and our full-time home. After living in a camper van for 4 years, this was our first complete conversion.
Our extensive time on the road taught us exactly what we wanted and needed for living full-time. We included all of these things in this build.
This build is optimized for boondocking and off-grid living. You can get far off the beaten path with all the comforts of home, including 75 gallons of fresh water, 1400W of solar, 800ah lithium battery power, a 12v water heater conversion, a full-size bed, a full-standing shower, and more! Throughout our time with the bus, we would camp in beautiful, wild places while enjoying luxuries like heated floors and hot showers. This helped us stay on the road longer and enjoy our adventures to the full extent.
This bus includes three highly coveted features: a passenger/co-pilot seat, no wheelchair doors, and a 23ft length – shorter wheelbase for better maneuverability both on and off-road. Combining all these features made it a unique and desirable model of shuttle bus.
We lived in this bus for three years, continually upgrading and maintaining the systems and living space. In December 2023, it was sold and moved to its new home.
